About AMOO — A Lebanese Restaurant Built on Hospitality & Quality

AMOO is a Lebanese restaurant on Marasi Drive, Business Bay, Dubai — built around the belief that hospitality is measured in details, and Lebanese food is best when nothing is rushed.

Our Story

How AMOO Started

AMOO was founded by a group of Lebanese hospitality professionals who spent years operating restaurants in Beirut, Dubai, and Riyadh. The idea was simple: create a place in Dubai that served the full Lebanese dining experience — not just mezze and grills, but the full day from breakfast through late-night lounge. A place that felt as comfortable at 8AM as it did at midnight.

We opened on Marasi Drive, Business Bay in 2019 — a location chosen for its accessibility and proximity to Downtown Dubai. Since then, AMOO has become known as one of the go-to spots in Business Bay for Lebanese breakfast, charcoal grills, and a refined shisha lounge atmosphere.

Every dish should feel hosted.

"We shape AMOO as a place guests remember for tone, not only taste: charcoal aromas, soft music, warm bread, and polished service."

Our Story

Why AMOO Was Built

The idea behind AMOO was simple in its ambition and complicated in its execution: to build a Lebanese restaurant in Dubai that represented the full breadth of what Lebanese dining actually is, rather than a reduced version of it designed for the lowest common denominator of what people expect from a Middle Eastern restaurant in a hotel lobby.

Lebanese food is one of the most sophisticated and diverse cuisines in the world. It begins before sunrise in bakeries. It unfolds across a mezze table that grows rather than clears. It reaches its peak at the grill, where the quality of the raw ingredient and the patience of the cook are the only variables that matter. It ends late, over coffee or tea, with desserts that were made that morning by someone who considered them worth making properly.

AMOO was built to represent all of that. Not the simplified version. The actual version. On Marasi Drive, Business Bay — a neighbourhood that already had plenty of good restaurants, and to which we wanted to add something that could genuinely be called great.

Our team is Lebanese and internationally trained. Our recipes are from Lebanon, adjusted where necessary for local sourcing without compromising on what makes them what they are. Our kitchen philosophy is the same today as it was on the day we opened: no shortcuts. Fresh every morning. Natural charcoal. Made in-house. No exceptions.

Our Kitchen Philosophy

No Shortcuts. Every Day.

The single sentence that governs how we operate our kitchen is this: if it can be made fresh today, it is made fresh today. Not tomorrow. Not three days ago and reheated. Today.

Manakish dough is prepared every morning before the restaurant opens. The zaatar blend is mixed in-house according to our own recipe. Kibbeh is shaped daily. Hummus is made per service. Kunafa is assembled and cooked to order. The grill marinades are prepared the evening before, every evening, so that the meat has had a full 24 hours in them before the charcoal is lit.

This is not a marketing story. It is an operational commitment that costs more to maintain than the alternative and produces a result that the alternative cannot match. We are committed to it because it is the only way to serve Lebanese food at the level we promised ourselves when we opened.

What We Serve

The Full Lebanese Experience

Lebanese Breakfast

Our morning menu opens at 7:00 AM with manakish, labneh, eggs, and foul madamas. The dough is prepared every morning. The zaatar is mixed in-house. The bread is stone-baked to order. Breakfast service runs through noon.

Charcoal Grills

Every meat item on our grill menu is marinated for 24 hours before cooking. Lamb chops, shish tawook, mixed kebab, tikka — all prepared the night before service and cooked over natural charcoal. No gas, no shortcuts.

Mezze & Starters

Lebanese mezze is the foundation of every meal at AMOO. Our cold mezze (hummus, moutabel, tabbouleh, fattoush) and hot mezze (kibbeh, sojuk, fried cauliflower) are served all day alongside fresh Arabic bread from the oven.

Shisha Lounge

Our shisha lounge runs from 10:00 AM until 2:00 AM. We offer premium flavors, signature blends, continuous coal management, and a lounge atmosphere designed for afternoon relaxation through to late-night social hours.

Our Location

Marasi Drive, Business Bay

We are on Marasi Drive — the canal-side strip that runs through Business Bay and connects the neighbourhood's commercial energy to the waterfront. Five minutes from Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa. A short walk from Business Bay Metro Station. Parking available on Marasi Drive and surrounding streets. Open daily from 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM.
